Kristin Timken: Art in the New Eugene Federal Courthouse

| Kristin Timken traveled over 1500 miles through the seven counties that comprise the Southern Division of the District of Oregon to photograph the striking variety and beauty of the landscape. "Witness" is the distillation of that experience. From the many photographs she took, Timken selected five images for the final work. Merging into one another across a 25' panel, they convey a sense of the geographic features of the region. This work commissioned by the Federal Art in Architecture Program is installed on the first floor of the new Wayne Lyman Morse United States Courthouse in Eugene, OR, dedicated on Dec. 1, 2006.
